Biography
Duccio Boscherini is a fully trained neurosurgeon in Switzerland, USA, Belgium and Italy. He has years of experience in spinal and cranial surgery guided by intraoperative imaging and navigation techniques. In 2008, Dr. Boscherini was the first neurosurgeon to introduce O-armâ„¢ imaging in surgical procedures in Switzerland. Duccio became a medical doctor in 1992, completed his neurosurgical training program in 2000 and pursued a clinical spinal fellowship. He was co-chairman of the neurosurgery unit in Lugano, Switzerland from 2007 to 2011. Dr. Boscherini is currently an associate neurosurgeon at the Clinique de La Source in Lausanne, and consultant neurosurgeon at the University Hospitals of Geneva. He is also a key opinion leader in spinal surgery and a member of several scientific societies in the US and in Europe. Duccio has numerous publications and participates in spine pathologies, biomaterials and computer-assisted surgery research projects.
